"Say no to moderation?" I quit.
Should we just "say no to moderation" as one health blogger recently advised? Is eating in moderation contributing to our obesity problem? Do we really need to stop using that naughty "M" word?

Good article. In my experience, diet extremists are rather like a secular version of religious zealots. (Can't be reasoned with. Very little introspection. Often don't keep their own rules.) And let's not forget those that are selling a book/program!

ReplyDeleteI agree--zealotry in the nutrition/health field is pervasive and parallels going overboard in other areas, like religion, as you mentioned. That level of stringent just isn't necessary or healthy for many people.
